How do i know what module to order to replace mine?
To identify the correct replacement module, locate the identification label on the original module removed from your vehicle. This label may include a part number, service number, broadcast code, hardware number, or other identifying information. Compare these numbers to the product listing before placing your order. Do not rely only on the vehicle’s year, make, and model, as multiple modules may have been used in the same vehicle. If you are still unsure, please contact us with your VIN, photos of the original module and its label, and any visible part or service numbers. We will gladly help you identify the correct module or point you in the right direction.
How do I know which module fits my vehicle?
Compare the part number, service number, broadcast code, connector style, and other identifying information on your original module with the product listing. Vehicle year, make, and model alone may not be enough to guarantee compatibility. If you are unsure, contact us before ordering and include clear pictures of your original module.
Are the modules used or new?
All modules we offer are used OEM units sourced from previously running and driving vehicles. Each module is visually inspected and tested before being programmed or sold. Choosing a quality used module can provide significant savings, as new replacements may cost up to 12 times more and many older modules are no longer manufactured. Used OEM modules offer an affordable, practical, and environmentally responsible replacement option.
What should I include when contacting Module Barn?
Include your name, order number, complete vehicle information, module numbers, a detailed explanation of the issue, and clear photographs when applicable. Providing complete information helps us respond more efficiently.
Does Module Barn purchase used modules?
Yes, we may purchase quantities of used modules. Selling only one or two modules may not be cost-effective because of shipping expenses. If you have several modules—or multiple units of the same type—contact us with pictures, part numbers, quantities, and condition information for a possible lot price.
